Pippa's campaign to Clean Up our Rivers in South Cambs!
South Cambs is fortunate to have some of the most beautiful chalk streams in the world, along with the river Cam which is so popular for swimming, punting, kayaking and paddleboarding. But our ability to enjoy this nature on our doorstep is being ruined by the dumping of raw sewage. Working with local residents I am calling on the Government and water companies to get a grip on the water pollution crisis.
Save our Chalk Streams in South Cambs
Enough is enough! Our precious chalk streams, the rivers Mel, Rhee, Shep and Granta, in South Cambridgeshire are under threat. Join Pippa and the Lib Dems in calling on Anglian Water to clean up its act and invest in upgrading the sewage treatment works not only in Haslingfield but along all our precious chalk streams so that they are healthy for us and for wildlife.
